01 JUST US

Oh my gosh. Yes, it’s just you guys, no one else. The entrance was really magical, like in fairytales when the fairy waves her wand. Then comes in the beat and JYJ whispering “JUST US”. Isn’t that just teasing? This 46 seconds track is too much for me too handle.

02 BACKSEAT

Yoochun’s starting off with an English sentence that I don’t get the context. It goes like “Alright girl,don’t be afraid of it, Imma put you on the backseat. Then Jaejoong comes in sexily perfect, comes after is Yoochun with his soft voice. As always, Junsu never fails, his voice is just like the best. His husky voice is never to be taken lightly,everytime I hear it its just goosebumps all over my body. The closing though, Yoochun~ here we go again. The problem is I always get confused when they sing the word “BACKSEAT”, the pronunciation is not spot on, but anyway, I still hear myself singing along to “put you on mybackseat~ while listening. All their vocals are really awesome. The adlibs is just heaven.

03 LETTING GO

The drum beat in this is crazily and simply addicting. Imagine someone singing this to you, it might be a break up song, but till, it sounds so romantic in its own way. I love how the drum carried the whole song on its own. JYJ have their own way to add color their own songs. Their voices are just so distinct to each other. The chorus is the most beautiful part of this song. Yoochun’s rap at the end was really intense though. And I noticed that they give Yoochun most the English parts, I wonder. Their adlibs while Yoochun’s rapping, no words can be used to explain it. Feels like its almost time to say goodbye~

04 AGE 7

This song is really sad. Junsu portrayed the song really well. I’m really happy that he got to sing this song. I actually teared up while listening to this song. I might not be able to understand all the words but simply listening to it, I felt a huge surge of mixed emotions. In the end I decided to read the lyrics while listening to the song. My chest felt so tight then, but I still can’t stop listening to the song.

05 DAD, YOU THERE?

After listening to AGE 7, I was expecting myself to calm down, but… I again had another breakdown, you just can’t have two sad songs follow each other. My chest feels so tight right now. This is a really good song. And how Yoochun wrote this song for his father. I love how they tell stories in their songs, compared to the Kpop we know now in general. What if he was an angel, You’re my hero, Angel~

06 SO, SO

I generally love the feeling of this song. As always, they’re telling a story in their song. SO, SO is not just your normal expression if you listen to this song. Many things can be so, so because of one thing, and you can hear it all in this song. The piano and violin in this is just really awesome. I was feeling all emotion when Jaejoong sang “LET IT GO, LET IT GO~” over and over again. I remembered the song Let it go from the movie Frozen. I love how they mentioned the great sins in the song. This might make people realize their mistakes before they do it again and hurt others.

07 2:30 AM

The piano and guitar making its entrance in a really subtle way set the mood for the whole song in my opinion. There’s a feeling of tranquility in the first part of the song. And after the chorus, it just became crazily amazing, they dropped the drums, electric guitar, bass, and violin, how perfect can this song be? Adding the oh-oh-oh-oh-oh in the end completed the song.

08 LET ME SEE

The harmony I was waiting for, at last. It’s what these guys do the best with their extraordinary voices. With only the piano, their vocals are much more highlighted in this song. I even want this song to just be acapella. Slowly adding the violin is genius. Goosebumps all over again, when will these guys stop improving? Every song they release since they left the group, everyone can see that they never stopped improving.

09 THIRTY

A Yoochun solo! This song started with a rap that I wasn’t expecting even a bit. I love how he shared his experiences through this one song in a really soft song. I love the lyrics every each end of the chorus. “LIFE IS MORE THAN YOU THINK”. The electric guitar sounds really sexy in here especially in its solo part. This song is effortlessly beautiful. The talking at the end, I found myself smiling and containing my feelings.

10 BABOBOY

THe title sounds and even looks really weird. I don’t know how they came up with this title. I’m lacking words wight now because I think I already said all that I can. I can only tell you that I feel like doing body waves listening to this, I don’t know why. There’s too much confidence in this song.

11 DEAR J

A Jaejoong solo, this is one memorable song because Jaejoong also write the lyrucs for this song. The flow in this song is flawless. His voice really suits this kind of songs the most, his high notes are just awesome to the max. I keep thinking who’s he talking about in the song though. Hmmm..

12 CREATION

Another Jaejoong written song. I don’t what synthesizers they used in the first part of the song, but this song made me sleepy. The first line was English so I was like ok, what’s next? I was dozing off when the rap came. I immediately opened my eyes, I really thought someone was whispering in my ears. It sounded creepy to me, I hope I’m not the only one. I just don’t need to mention thier vocals in here because I think I just mentioned it for the 1346212th time.

13  VALENTINE

I’m sorry, this might be the last track, but there’s just no impact to this song. Chris Brown actually produced this, but I think this song is just weak compared to the other tracks in this album. I need to be honest, their pronunciation is still laking a lot even though they have released a lot of English songs already. A little more practice and they’ll be ready to take on the challenge again.

I’m just really glad that they’re back and one thing I’m wishing for is to them to perform on music shows. I really hope so.
