BLOCK B~HER
As I said, I just extracted all my downloaded
albums. This album was just released days ago and I’m here
to review each song in the album.
1. UNORDINARY GIRL
I really liked the soft entrance of Taeil in this
song. It was like the heavens welcoming you. I also liked the consistent drum
beats all throughout the song. The part I liked the most was the part before
the chorus, the falsetto were no joke. And I’m just
falling in love over and over for P.O.’s voice. I was
actually looking forward for Zico’s rap, but he sang! I’m telling you, in falsetto also, my favorite part I mentioned earlier.
What I love Block B is they try to divide the song equally.
2. HER
This is one of the most catchy song I’ve
heard in the history of kpop. Not just the song, but the dance for this also.
Everything is just perfection for this song. The overflowing energy I feel
every time I listen to this is no joke. I’m sorry to
mention this again, but ARGGHH! P.O.’s voice in this. And
atlast, I can hear Zico rapping. Her!
3. EMBRACE ME NOW
A Taeil solo! I wasn’t
expecting for this when the tracklist was revealed, I was like hellyea! One
thing to boast about it is that Taeil wrote and composed this song himself. I
dunno why, but instead of a love song this sounds more like a tribute song to
me. It’s a rare opportunity to hear a ballad songs from
Block B and for it be solo is just amazing. Before I knew it, the song just
ended and I can’t stop listening to it all over again.

4. JACKPOT
Well, we’re all familiar with
this song. This was released a long time ago with a music video. For those who
haven’t seen the music video for this. HERE IT IS. I love
the diversity of this song, switching here and there. And I like the
accelerando and gradual increase in tempo towards the chorus. What a waste is
the song just ended immediately without notice. I was like, oh! it ended
already?
5. VERY GOOD (ROUGH VERSION)
From the title, I was thinking “Rough
Version?” And it really was a rough version. The electric
guitar was damn rough. It sounds a real Rock&Roll song. It was really fun
listening to this song in a different light. The hook is just really amazing,
and the song’s still as catchy as ever. I was like “I’m very very good! I wanna rock right
now!”
6. JACKPOT (Instrumental)
This is a really good instrumental for comedic
skits and videos, just saying. Like in the music video, it is best suited in
circus performances. The brass intruments sound really good.
