Sistar - TOUCH & MOVE Album Review

SISTAR~TOUCH & MOVE

I’ve followed Sistar since their debut. From being rookies, they now made a name for themselves. I think they’re the only group that could pull sexy and cute at the same time really well.

The TOUCH AND MOVE album of Sistar contains 6 songs.

1. WOW

Sounds like a Hyorin solo. With Hyorin’s sexy vocals, this first track really set up the mood for the whole album. The feeling was like a rally sexy beach side while watching the waves. I really love the guitar accompaniment in this song. It’s a pity that this song is only more or less 1 minute.

2.  TOUCH MY BODY

From the title of the song, its impossible to know the genre of the song. The first time I played this song I was expecting a song similar to Alone. And the introduction didn’t fail me, but guess what? I nearly had a heart attack from the sudden change in tune. Gaaad.

Anyways, this is a really good title song. A really catchy one at that aspect. And as expected, Hyorin’s adlibs are perfect as ever. Touch my body~

3. NAUGHTY HANDS

I really love it when rappers feature in Sistar’s songs. This song is especially good to listen to when it’s raining and you’re lying in your bed. In the lyrics there’s also “YOU’RE MOVING TOO FAST~”, “JUST TAKE IT SLOW~”, “조심히 조심히(which means careful! careful!). This all leads to its title Naughty Hands. This is my favorite track in the album.  It feels refreshing to the ears with just the guitar strums, drum beats and a little drop of electro in there.

4. BUT I LOVE YOU

Ohmygosh, this song sounds like a Beyonce song at the start. I really love the ooh ooh ooh~ part during the chorus that I just cannot stop singing along. Hands down to Bora’s rap in needs, it sounds flawless. I can feel some longing in the song, but I’m not sure if it really is.

5. OK GO!

At first I was like “Is this a 4minute song?” Really! I can feel a 4minute vibe in this song. No hating. Hyorin sounds more supressed in here compared to the other songs. Anyway, this is new for Sistar. I’m still not yet used to listeing to this song and think that this is Sistar blasting through my earphones.

6. SUNSHINE

This is a true summer song! I can just feel the sun’s heat listening to this song. I can imagine playing in the water and splashing everywhere. From the first track, now the last track is like saying goodbye to summer, but in a really fun way. Playing around as it is the last day of summer, so you have to enjoy yourself. This has the most summer feel in my opinion.

OVERALL: It was a satisfactory album for me, but there’s still ways to improve this album, the songs in it.
