Akdong Musician

Akdong Musician, siblings aged 15 and 17 years old just debuted in Korea months ago.

Being back in Korea  after staying for two years in Mongolia- brought them to audition for KpopStar 2. The siblings are a unique tandem because they are of opposite gender. Only a few can pull off that. And also the fact of a sibling duo is fresh and exciting.

Many were amazed by their teamwork and composition skills. Out of all the contestants, Akdong Musician were always performing new, fresh composition by Chanhyuk.

People love how they harmonize and perform so confidently everytime on stage. They always get praises from the judges.

After a long journey in the audition program, they gained a lot of fans and attention. Being in the top 2 faced off with Bang Yedam, also a really incredible talent at a young age, finals came. After so much that they’ve done, at last, they won.

Lee Chanhyuk, the oppa. In just the age of 17, he already made so many songs that can compete right off the charts. He’s a really talented lad. Not only his production skills, but his voice is essential to every song because he balances off his sister’s voice. He plays the guitar well on top of that.

Lee Soohyun, the dongsaeng. In the really young age of 15, she showed everyone her singing skills. The most important part is how Chanhyuk’s  songs always suits her voice. Both of the siblings are really lucky to have each other.

A month after, they decided to sign under the management of YG Entertainment.The main reason is that Yang Hyun Suk(the company’s CEO) gives his artists freedom to express themselves in anyway possible, and for the siblings that it is by writing their own songs.

Being an artist is not that easy, the siblings also went through training the trainees at YG went through. They were gone from the people’s eyesight for a considerable amount of time. They have yet another history to make. They were 2nd in the Billboard’s Us World Album Charts. Lots of people appreciated and downloaded the album.

The long-awaited debut of Akdong Musician was announced through the very own program that discovered them, KPop Star 3. It was announced that they’ll be making their debut stage at the said show. 

After about 3 months of the announcement, the album’s tracklist, title song, and the album itself got released. All songs in the album were written and produced by Chanhyuk himself.

Not only the album gained regocnition. Akdong musician won 2 triple crowns from different stations for their title song 200%.
